Testimonials
I know there is so much controversy between chiropractic and medical care, but if it were not for chiropractic I would still be in pain. A car accident left me with constant lower back pain. I tried everything from painkillers to preparing to have surgery. I heard stories from my friends who had surgery and to this day wish they never had it. So I decided to go to a chiropractor before the surgery and I am so thankful that I did. My back pains are gone and I am living my life to the fullest and pain free.

Phases of Care Print E-mail

Phase 1 - Relief Care

As a new patient, you obviously have pain or concerns that need to be addressed promptly, and the first thing you want is to feel better.  Office visits for the first phase of care are frequent (3-5 times a week) and the length of time required to reduce or eliminate your symptoms will depend on your condition, age and lifestyle.  Concentrated treatments are needed to help your body relearn the proper position to be in.  This takes time and repetition.

You may experience some discomfort or temporary relief from the first few visits as things in your body start to change.  This is all quite normal.  Also, if you feel uncomfortable at home, keep moving!  Most problems are aggravated by inactivity.

Ice or Heat?

When in doubt, ICE!!!  Place the ice on the injured or painful area for 20 minutes. Remove it, wait 30 minutes and then re-apply the ice.  Continue with this pattern 4-5 times a day.  For all new injuries, ice should be used for the first three days.

Phase 2 - Corrective Care

This is the most crucial phase of care.

After receiving Relief Care and eliminating or reducing your symptoms, underlying muscle and soft tissue damage remains.  Unknowingly you begin to place physical demands on the body, a body that is not fully healed, and therefore extremely susceptible to re-injury.  Continued corrective care is required in order to strengthen and heal the damaged tissues.  Your condition will determine the amount of treatments needed to complete the healing process.  To help improve and accelerate the healing process specific exercises will be given to you that you can perform in the comfort of your own home.

This phase could take a few months or more depending on the seriousness of your condition. Soreness or flare-ups may occur and are completely normal.

Phase 3 - Wellness Care

Wellness care is a program of continued care over a period of years to maintain a correction that is constantly aggravated by lifestyle or work conditions.  With other individuals, regular Chiropractic check ups will help preserve their progress.  These regular visits help to catch little problems before they become major concerns.  Like other preventative measures (dental visits, eye exams, physicals) regular chiropractic adjustments can save time, suffering and money by helping you and your family stay well and enjoy a higher quality of life.

The Wellness Care phase will give you the benefit of living life to the fullest.
